Tee: Twice hauled to disciplinary board, both times due to MCA president

MCA's former Pulai Sebatang assemblyperson Tee Siew Keong had appeared before the party's disciplinary board.

He also revealed the complaint against him was filed by MCA president Wee Ka Siong.

Tee, who had aired his unhappiness after MCA gave up the Pulai Sebatang seat to Umno, said this was the second time he was facing the disciplinary board, and Wee was the complainant on both occasions.

"After nine years, I was called by the MCA disciplinary board again. The complainant for both hearings was the same, which is the MCA president," he said in a statement on Facebook.

Tee faced disciplinary action after he accused the MCA leadership under Wee of deliberately giving up the Pulai Sebatang seat so that his party rivals won't have a seat to contest in.

Tee, who appeared before the disciplinary board yesterday, thanked the board's chairperson Han Choon Kim for "hearing complete truth instead of a one-sided story".

"I hope to get justice," said Tee.

Tee had contested in Pulai Sebatang in every election since 2004.

Tee, who is aligned with former MCA president Chua Soi Lek, had suggested that Wee was trying to purge him.

Chua and Wee were in opposing camps when the former was still the MCA president.

Wee has denied trying to purge party rivals.

He added that Tee's outburst was due to the disappointment of not being able to contest in last month's Johor polls. - Mkini
