All Form Five students of Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) in Balik Pulau, Penang who were involved in the bullying case of a Form Three student recently will be expelled.
Mara chairperson Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said this is because they will not compromise on bullying and beating involving an educational institution under Mara including at MRSM.
“I have already received a report from the Education Division of Mara, everyone who was involved was proposed to be dismissed from MRSM.
“There is no effort to cover up the case as claimed,” Asyraf said in a Facebook posting today.
The police recently confirmed the arrest of five MRSM students in Balik Pulau to facilitate the investigation of a bullying case that happened last Friday.
The incident at 11pm involved a Form Three student at the men’s toilet of Block B of the school building.
It is understood that the victim was beaten up by Form Five students due to being late for morning prayers.
Barat Daya police district chief Kamarul Rizal Jenal confirmed receiving the report and the arrests. - Mkini
