PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms and strong winds have been forecast to hit most parts of Peninsular Malaysia on Thursday (May 4) night, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
The turbulent weather is expected to hit the states of Perlis; Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Penang (North Seberang Prai, Central Seberang Prai and South Seberang Prai); Perak; Kelantan (Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan and Rompin); Selangor; Kuala Lumpur; Putrajaya; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah and Rembau); and Johor until 9pm.
It also said that thunderstorms are expected with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour that will last more than an hour. - Star
