Police are actively searching for the culprits who placed a bomb under lawyer-activist Siti Kasim's car last week.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said police are tracing fingerprints found on the bomb, and also analysing other evidence to track down the suspects.
"The discovery of the bomb (points to) a serious crime, and the threat is akin to attempted murder," he was quoted as saying by Harian Metro.
Razarudin added that the Kuala Lumpur police were carrying out further investigations, and assured that aggressive action would be taken.
The bomb was found attached to the undercarriage of Siti Kasim's car when she sent it for servicing at a workshop in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Brickfields district police chief Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the two plastic bottles were believed to be an improvised explosive device (IED). - Mkini
