Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today decreed that the matter concerning Kedah caretaker menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's speech was "unresolved".
This decree came after the ruler granted separate audiences to Selangor PAS chief Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan in Shah Alam today.
"The audiences were granted separately to discuss the statements by the Kedah (caretaker) menteri besar over his speech in Selangor recently which is deemed to have insulted the Selangor royal institution.
"The ruler decreed that the matter has not been resolved," said the Selangor Royal Office in a statement.
Two days ago, Sanusi had written to the ruler to apologise for the former's speech on July 11 in Selayang, Selangor.
In his speech, Sanusi made comparisons between Kedah and Selangor's royal households.
At one point, Sanusi claimed that the Kedah ruler would not have chosen Amirudin Shari as menteri besar.
This has triggered dozens of police reports against Sanusi for allegedly insulting the royal institution.
One such report was filed by the Selangor Royal Council, which serves as the Selangor ruler's advisory body. - Mkini
