#NSTviral: Woman recounts harrowing ordeal involving car 'repossessors' in viral post

KUALA LUMPUR: An entrepreneur encountered a harrowing situation when an unknown duo tried to 'repossess' her car, alleging she had failed to pay her monthly dues to the bank.

Sharing her ordeal, Facebook user Aisya Assiah said that she was heading to Nilai and stopped at the Seremban Rest and Recreation (R&R) petrol station to buy snacks.

She then noticed a blue sedan blocking her car, prompting her to sound the horn to alert the other car driver.

The driver then approached her and said that he was sent by a bank and wants to repossess her car for having arrears on her monthly loan repayment.

She told him that she had settled her payments.

The man then returned to the vehicle saying that he will check on her case.

As she was preparing to call police for help, the blue car drove away from the area.

The incident occurred on July 11.

In a separate video posted later, she said that she had lodged a police report over the incident and shared her experience to create awareness among netizens.

Her posting went viral and was shared over 1,000 times on Facebook by netizens. Many comments were seen urging others to be careful of attempts by such individuals.

A netizen by user name 'Pakcik Masa Depan' said that one should immediately call police if caught in a similar situation.

"Let the incident unfold with the presence of the police," he said.

Another netizen said, "If we are driving (our own car) then we know the payment status, but imagine if another person was driving. It is dangerous" said Facebook user Puteri Qaisara. - NST
