PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional has unveiled its candidates for all 56 state seats at the upcoming Selangor state elections.
Bersatu will contest the lion’s share of seats with 31, followed by PAS (17) and Gerakan (eight), announced PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin at an event in Taman Medan here.
PN held five seats prior to the state assembly’s dissolution on June 23, with Bersatu holding four seats and PAS having one.
PH had 40 seats (PKR-19, DAP-15, Amanah-six), Barisan Nasional (five) and Parti Bangsa Malaysia (two). Pejuang and Warisan had one each, along with one independent representative.
The Batang Kali seat was declared vacant after Pejuang’s Harumaini Omar failed to attend the state assembly sitting for more than six months.
