Rise up for change, Nik Nazmi urges Kelantan voters

People in Kelantan need to rise up and demand change in the upcoming state polls to ensure their demands, especially regarding basic necessities, are fulfilled.

Kelantan and Terengganu PKR chairperson Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the state government was seen as not being able to deliver and solve the problems of its citizens.

"The central government has stated its stand of wanting to help Kelantan develop better.

"In fact, we have started many projects, including the flood mitigation project to tackle the longstanding flooding issue in Tumpat,” he said.

Nik Nazmi said this during his speech at the Madani Unity roadshow and Kelantan Unity Machinery launch near Bukit Tiu yesterday, in the presence of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Nik Nazmi also stressed that there was no reason why Kelantan, which is led by an Islamic party (PAS) should be one of the poorest states in the country.

"We want the people of Kelantan to come home and vote to benefit from the same change as other states,” he added.
