PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri M. Saravanan says he has no knowledge about being called by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over an arrest of a “Datuk” who is a concert organiser.
The MIC deputy president was puzzled over the sudden interest by certain quarters following pictures swirling on social media of him and the “Datuk”.
“Why must they (MACC) contact me? Just because the man took a picture with me?” the Tapah MP said in response to whether the agency had contacted him.
Saravanan added it was not a crime for any businessman to take a picture with him just like many others when he is out in public.
It was reported that MACC is planning to call in a former minister to help in the investigation of two businessmen who are widely known for bringing in artistes from India and distributing movies. - Star
