Gerakan polls results announced today saw party president Dominic Lau, deputy president Oh Tong Keong and all three incumbent vice-presidents reelected to their posts.
Now in his second term, Lau (above, second from left), garnered 429 votes out of 1,130 votes cast or 38 percent, making him the party's first minority president.
The closest competitor was Federal Territories Gerakan chairperson Lau Hoi Keong, who trailed by 94 votes in the four-way contest.
The other candidates were Malacca Gerakan chief Micheal Gan and former secretary-general Liang Teck Meng.
Lau's running mate Oh did better in the deputy president race, winning 546 votes or 48.3 percent of the votes cast.
The three vice-presidents are Baljit Singh, Koo Shiaw Lee and Alexander Lo Su Hyen.
