KPJ spreads Raya cheer to frontliners on duty, warded patients

KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan presented Hari Raya goodies to a young patient at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital.

PETALING JAYA: With the nation celebrating Aidilfitri, KPJ Healthcare Bhd took the initiative to ensure that frontliners on duty and patients warded in its hospitals still get to be part of the festivities.

KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan visited the patients and frontliners, passing them goodie bags and meals consisting of delicacies usually served during Hari Raya.

Chin visited patients and staff on duty at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital (DSH) and KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital 2 (DSH2), allowing them some respite and a feel of home while still in hospital.

He also visited the policemen and firemen on duty at the Damansara Utama and Taman Tun Dr Ismail police and fire stations and paid tribute to them for their dedicated service to the community.

“Since the Covid-19 pandemic, our bond with fellow frontliners has grown stronger, driven by a shared purpose and resilience. As we move forward, we aim to deepen these relationships, united in our commitment to serve the nation.

“Today’s ‘Jalinan Kasih’ initiative exemplifies KPJ Healthcare’s deep-rooted ethos of providing ‘Care For Life’, as we stand by our communities with compassion and support.

“With a significant presence within a 10km radius at DSH and DSH2, both members of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, the company continues its mission of elevating patient-centric care while ensuring access to world-class, quality healthcare for residents in the area,” said Chin in a statement.

KPJ Healthcare’s subsidiary Total Meal Solution had curated special meals for the warded patients, who got to enjoy traditional festive dishes like rendang and nasi impit.

The meals are made to be more wholesome and nutritious, yet still delectable.
