PETALING JAYA: Police arrested a couple and seized various types of drugs worth RM4.73 million in a raid on a condominium in Puchong Jaya, Puchong, on Saturday.

Bukit Aman narcotics crime investigation department (NCID) director Khaw Kok Chin said police also seized a fully loaded Glock pistol, a single-punch tablet machine to produce drugs, and two Mercedes-Benz vehicles worth RM178,600, Bernama reported.

“After more than a month of intelligence, Selangor NCID raided a condominium at 3.15am on April 27 and arrested the couple in the lobby.

“They took police to a unit there, which they rented and used for trafficking,” he said.

Khaw said there were small quantities of erimin 5 and syabu in the unit, but the main haul came from the suspect’s car, parked on the roadside near the condominium.

A search of the car uncovered MDMA in pill and powder form weighing 26.5kg, ketamine (5.5kg), heroin (1.38kg), syabu (1kg) and ecstasy pills weighing 548g with a combined street value of RM4.73 million.

He said the Glock pistol was loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition. Another 17 live rounds were also seized.

Khaw said the couple led a gang, active for the past three months, that would provide drug supplies and market them to customers wholesale and retail, including distributing them to entertainment centres around the Klang Valley.

“The 32-year-old man, who we think is the leader, has 14 previous convictions, including 10 for drug offences. The 32-year-old woman has six previous convictions,” he said.

“The screening test on the two suspects also found them positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.”

Khaw said the couple have been remanded until May 3 for trafficking under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. - FMT
