Amanah continues to stand by its choice to field its sole non-Muslim candidate - Sharon Teo - for the Permas seat.
Party secretary-general Faiz Fadzil said that Teo was not a parachute candidate and has been active in Amanah since 2018 and has been Johor Amanah Young Women’s chief since 2023.

Amanah secretary-general Faiz Fadzil “Her candidacy is proof that Amanah wants to uplift the voices of youths and women in Malaysian politics,” he said.
This is in response to the Amanah division in Pasir Gudang - where Permas is - boycotting Teo in protest, saying they wanted their division chief as a candidate instead.
An independent auditor has found claims that the Battersea Power Station project was overvalued were unfounded, the Finance Ministry said in a written parliamentary reply yesterday.

The independent forensic audit was carried out by Evelyn Partners, which reviewed allegations concerning the project’s financial statements.
“The review also found that the company’s accounting practices were in accordance with international accounting standards,” the ministry said in response to Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin. - Mkini
