Come 901 What May
For a leader who predicted 308 as the day of change, 907 as the day of a big clean up and now 901 as his day of reckoning, anyone wishing to get lucky doing a permutation of these numbers for the lottery draws would most likely not win in the draws.
It may mean such that fate is not kind to the punter as well as the leader to get a lucky strike and win the dream prize. The punter may well have more luck doing a lucky pick, as proven many times to have won the big prize. While the leader may never have a lucky number to fulfill his dream.
So 901 is being hyped up will all the number claims again, the crowd that is, 100,000 it seems, so many ponteng or skip work or take leave to support their leader against what is considered a criminal act more disgusting and sinful than corruption or abuse of power or even wasting billions of ringgit of taxpayers money for overpriced projects.
We laugh at those banana republics show of their millions of youth, young and ole, those in uniform or paid to wear parade attire all waving flags and chanting slogans to their great leader and vow of giving up life and limbs to defend their leaders and the palaces. We think these supporters are brainwashed, brainless and blind to owe so much of their time, energy or life for one man.
But what of BolehLand where such similar scenes of leaders screaming and screeching in the podium at party AGMs, youth gatherings, festive gatherings and even before media cameras of waging wars against enemies, of asking those thousands and millions before them emotionally charged willing to do a silat lincah and lives and limbs or even in a restricted car part to protect their beloved leaders. Are these supporters just as brainwashed, brainless and blind like the fellows in the banana republics?
Of course, supporters will argue it's not about the man, but rather the principles behind it, no pun here? Like, justice, fight against creeping or rather total subjugation and control of the different arms of democracy by only the executive hand? It's fighting injustice, corruption, and all the woes and ills of the nation.
But then, why fight such causes using a personal, that is the BN side of the argument, private case brought out by a poor private ex-kopi boi employee huh? Is the message these supporters sending is they have only one capable leader who can lead? Or are they trying to fight against a corrupt and politically motivated conspiracy to do their leader in to collapse their change of winning?
It is not the case that the case was concluded like a month ago? It was a long drawn affair and it is only now that Plan B is being surfaced for supporters and those hopefuls and fence sitters.
But isn't it too late? Even Plan B sounds as unworkable as the Pakatan coalition these days where the cracks are widening or perhaps the MSMedia and BN PR campaign are all focusing on creating mountains out of molehills. Just like how the BN and their third, fourth and fifth arms, the racist right groups, the enforcement officers, religious authorities are all making mountains out of the minor differences that the Pakatan leaderships are experiencing.
If one can sift through all these suddenly barrage of expose of the collapse of the Pakatan group, one will find that it is a well executed discredit and smear campaign at every conceivable 'weakness' of the Pakatan fellows. It is likely that the BN strategy is to ask each of their component party to launch specific attack on the Pakatan leaders, with the MSMedia the propaganda machine to mince the Pakatan leadership 'kau kau'.
So UMNO will take on the PKR, MCA the DAP, MIC at all the Indian members of Pakatan. The UMNO take on PKR is a about leadership credibility, the holy and the sodomite, the dare to swear over the Holy Book vs the coward, the leader of all under 1Malaysia concept vs an opportunists, the moral vs the sex pevert!
Then we have the religious council to take on PAS because it will not put UMNO in a bad light of Malay versus Malays but rather those deemed themselves the true Muslims and Islamic scholars against those 'false prophets i.e. PAS', the racist parties, Perkasa as pure Malays vs PKR Malays being branded as betraying their own race. The use of social media and timing to publise prominent bloggers to maximise damage against the opposition.
You let all these multi prong attack on Pakatan to be done simultaneously so that the people, especially the rural folks and party members to believe that their great leader and his party is the only one who can deliver the nation from 'real and present' danger because the opposition are made to look like even more a rag tag team and worse indulging in the C word, CORRUPTION to enrich themselves.
The rising news of corruption in the Pakatan camp is telling the people, especially the rural folks 'Hey we are not the corrupt ones, they are also just as if not more corrupt than us! Hah!
If there is truth in these corruption by Pakatan fellows, who should voters vote? One that has honed and institutionalised corruption or another learning and doing the dirty game like the other side? And if corruption is rampant in Pakatan controlled States, are not those 901 supporters a bunch of hypocrites?
Come what may in 901, life in BolehLand will run its messy course where race, religion, language, patronage, nepotism, corruption, injustice, religious intolerance will run its course. The fear is when BN obtains it's two thirds majority it's likely to be PAYBACK TIME to tax the people to pay for the messy debts, tighten authority and grip by the police force on civil and religious liberties.
Still think such pessimistic scenario above is unlikely. It means we have not seeped in the subtle messages of 1Malaysia and their leaders' speeches. They need the two thirds to get their ETPs going, to stop the many voices to call for justice sans rights and privileges.
One odd police condition they have banned the use of “Free Anwar 901” tagline. And we still believe in the Peaceful Assembly Act and freedom huh? Isn't that why 901 is held too? Imagine you organise an assembly against maid abuse and you can't use the banner 'Stop Abusing Maids!' The conclusion we can draw for banning this 'Free Anwar 901' tagline is the same in the still ban on the 'Bersih' tagline and paraphenelia.
So that may be a valid reason for the 901 rally to be allowed, no?
Be warned, massive road blocks even for a legal assembly? Why roadblocks if you allow an assembly, we wonder huh? - YAHMEH!!!
