The assemblies, which are deemed the final before the 13th general election, are expected to focus on the party’s election machinery’s preparations for the upcoming general election.
The general assembly for the Wanita wing is being held at the Merdeka Hall, while the Youth and Puteri wings occupy the Tun Dr Ismail Hall and Tun Hussein Onn Hall, respectively.
The general assemblies of the three wings were opened simultaneously by Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin last night.
A total of 2,973 delegates or 991 delegates of each wing will debate the policy speech of their respective chiefs, besides the economic, education and religious motions. — Bernama
