DUNGUN, March 2 – Felda Global Ventures Holdings Sdn Bhd (FGVH) will be making contributions to the families of the two VAT 69 police commandos killed in a gun battle with a group of armed intruders in Kampung Tanduo, Lahad Datu, Sabah, yesterday.
Felda Global Group president Datuk Sabri Ahmad said the contributions would be announced by Felda chairman Tan Sri Isa Abdul Samad soon.
“Felda is touched by their sacrifice and bravery in defence of the nation’s sovereignty, which was intruded at the FGVH plantation in Felda Sahabat.
“This is a gesture of Felda’s appreciation for Insp Zulkifli Mamat, 29, and Cpl Sabarudin Daud, 46,” he said after a briefing on FGVH issues at Felda Kerteh 2, here, today.
Also present was FGVH chief operating officer Datuk Khairil Anuar Aziz who briefed 700 settlers from 20 Felda land schemes in Terengganu. – Bernama
