Chua Soi Lek did not mince his words in his final party assembly as president, describing Pakatan Rakyat as the "grandmother and grandfather" of lies.
"While the 2013 General Election was the mother of all general elections, the lies regarding the Bangladeshis (being able to vote) are the grandmother of all lies.
"This has become the most infamous lie propagated by (Pakatan leader) Anwar Ibrahim, while the claim of a deliberate blackout at counting centres is the grandfather of all lies propagated by DAP," said the outgoing MCA chief in his policy speech.
Chua lamented that the government was ineffective in countering such "lies" spread by the opposition and urged this be remedied.
"Every ministry should have a special unit entrusted to respond to lies and falsehood spread on the Internet," he said.
Also present at the opening of at the opening of the 60th MCA annual general assembly was Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
