AS 'SECESSION' RUMORS SWIRL, JOHOR CROWN PRINCE SAYS 'I WAS TOLD I'M DANGEROUS'
Amid swirling speculation Johor was moving to break away from Malaysia, the hugely popular Crown Prince of the southern state, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has issued another message that speaks volumes to those following the political saga between the Johor Palace and embattled Prime Minister Najib Razak.
"I was told I'm dangerous... I asked why?"
"They said "because I can bring people together and I don't need anyone."
"That's when I smiled and said "I've got nothing to prove, just everything to improve."
Tunku Ismail's post on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page comes a day after Najib was granted an audience to meet Sultan Ibrahim. The Crown Prince was also present.
No details have been divulged about what transpired during the hour-long meeting.
Najib's critics, however, believe he was trying to get some 'political mileage' from the royal meeting.
'Hateful' tactics by the PM scorned by the Johor Palace
The 62-year-old PM's hold on the federal government is waning as the Malaysian economy continues to sink into a quagmire of grand-scale corruption, social and political unrest after an anti-Chinese rally sanction and promoted by Najib himself.
“The hour-long meeting will forge closer relations between the state and federal governments,” the Prime Minister said in his posting on Facebook.
It is telling that that soon after the September 16 Red Shirts rally, the Johor Prince issued a stern rebuke against any attempt to stir up racial tensions in the state.
The rally, sanction and praised by Najib, had led to violence and attacks against the Malaysian Chinese in Kuala Lumpur, forcing many to close their businesses and to stay home.
"It's disgusting. Racism and its hateful language have no place in this community," said the Johor sultan's third child said in a posting last night. The prince also put up a comment beneath: "I have Malay, Chinese, and English blood running thru my veins. #BangsaJohor"
Meanwhile, the latest speculation of 'secession' - a term that has been 'banned' by the paranoid Najib administration - follows a recent screen capture of an official letter from the Segamat district office calling for the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag) to be replaced with state district flags.

It appears Najib has failed to appease the Johor Palace, known for its highly-educated members of royalty
Johor state secretary Ismail Karim said that the state government and the Federal Government made an agreement to stick together a long time ago.
"It is impossible for the state to simply leave Malaysia and build our own country as it will need to go through a lot of procedures to do so.
"I hope that after this, if there is any issue or even on Johor to be out of Malaysia, please refer to the state government before making any assumptions," said Ismail.
He told reporters this in Johor on Tuesday.
On the flag issue, which has since gone viral on social media, Ismail said that district officer Ahmad Ma'in made a mistake as he had misinterpreted the instructions decreed by Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
Apart from Johor, there are movements dedication to withdrawing East Malaysian state Sabah and Sarawak from the Malaysian federation, which was formed in 1963.
Poor governance, massive corruption, neglect of the states and population are often cited as reasons for the wish to be 'independent' and withdraw from the Umno-led federal government's control. . - Malaysia Chronicle
