HAZED-OUT: CRAZY SCENES AT SUBANG AIRPORT

HAZED-OUT: CRAZY SCENES AT SUBANG AIRPORT
KUALA LUMPUR - While the haze continues to hamper visibility, the grouses of those enduring delayed flights at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang today were heard loud and clear.
Several upset passengers waiting for their scheduled flights ranted on social media about their predicament.
Instagram user @sybreonI’ve posted a photo of the airport’s departure lounge, which was filled with people sitting on the floor awaiting their flights.
“Never seen Subang Airport departure lounge look like this. Firefly really needs to redo their contingency measures,” he wrote.
Similarly, user @wnshril also shared images of the crowded airport, saying that the situation there could be compared to being packed in a can of sardines.
On Twitter, user @AliaAsyura sympathised with other passengers patiently waiting for their flights. “There are so many people at Subang Airport… It’s so sad that flights are delayed because of the haze. It’s still delayed now.”
@asmafab tweeted her frustrations, hitting out at Malaysia’s neighbours.
“Crazy scene at Subang Airport. So many people. Thanks Indonesia.”
@AmyDaisyy said that her flight was cancelled yesterday as the airport was closed due to the haze and now says that her flight is delayed even more.
A passenger said his 8.40pm Firefly flight to Penang was changed to 12.05am. He said most of the Malindo and Firefly flights were delayed by at least three hours.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) today issued a statement saying that the airport remained open, but all passengers arriving and departing from the airport were advised to check with their respective airlines on the flight schedules as some flights had either been delayed or cancelled.
Yesterday, the Subang Airport was temporarily closed at 4pm due to poor visibility caused by haze. It later reopened at 7.30pm. - Therakayatpost
