PETALING JAYA - Sungai Besar Umno division chief Datuk Jamal Yunos (pix) has denied allegations that Chinese customers are banned from entering his hotel and restaurant.
Jamal, who is also the Malay NGOs coalition president, said that he has never imposed such restrictions.
“In fact, I welcome anyone who comes regardless of his or her race, or lineage,” he said in a statement Monday.
Jamal added that lately, there have been many defamatory and false statements linked to him and his businesses.
“I would like to request the readers to evaluate such claims carefully and to check with me before reaching any conclusions,” said the Sekinchan Ikan Bakar restaurant owner.
Jamal is one of the main organisers of the red-shirt rally held on Malaysia Day, which saw a mostly Malay crowd taking to the streets to uphold the Malay dignity, and oppose the recent Bersih 4 protest.
He had made several controversial statements leading up to the rally as well as after it, including saying that Cina babi (Chinese pigs) was not derogatory, as Chinese eat pork. - ANN
I think its immaterial whether he did or did.not say it. The fact that he thinks, feel and agree that Chinese are "babi" is already enough to show that he doesn't welcome.Chinese (or rather "pigs") in his so called halal restaurant or hotel....or is he saying that he doesn't mind "pigs" in his compound??? Well, I think the only way for him to price that he welcomes Chinese into his restaurant and hotel is to bring some real pigs in there as evidence....racist I'd*it!
