KUALA LUMPUR - An Australian self-described “evil genius” has created a Where’s Waldo-style book that sends people searching for the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH370.
Called Where’s MH370?, the book was created by Mathew Carpenter and consists of 12 pages that illustrate what can only be deemed as distasteful places to search for the plane, including the moon, hell and North Korea.
“The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 baffled the entire world, until now.
“In this Where’s Wally-inspired activity book, you can help find the debris of MH370, such as the landing gear, black box or passenger luggage,” states the website.
In trying to cash in on the tragedy, Carpenter is offering the book for AUD15 (RM46), taking reservations on a website wheresmh370book.com.
“It is an attempt at creating a book that both informs and entertains readers, helps out the authorities by encouraging a crowdsourced search in locations that many would not suspect the plane to be and also opens up a discussion about the possible resting place of MH370.
“Mat created this book because he wants answers as to why we haven’t considered some of these highly potential places as part of the official search,” stated the website.
The book has already grabbed the attention of foreign media with some netizens having also taken Carpenter to task over the insensitivity of such a book.
However, the comments don’t seem to have troubled the 23-year-old.

Since Carpenter posted the release of the book via his Twitter account @matcarpenter, netizens have been calling him and the move “disgusting” and “twisted”.
“That is disgusting making a book where is MH370! Would u be so keen if your loved ones was lost?? Disgrace,” twitter user @Justfayelouise tweeted to Carpenter.
Unaffected by the comment, Carpenter replied, “Please fill in the complaint form on the FAQ page on the website.”
“I do have a sense of humour. But I’m sorry a #whereswaldo of flight #MH370 is in really bad taste,” wrote Jeff Leece.
