Attitude Problems At Air Asia / RM700 Million Forex Losses?

Image result for airasia - 13 pilots MC

  • Questions over 13 sick pilots at AirAsia
  • Questions over AirAsia delay, cancel flights Nov 30, Dec 1
  • hundreds of passengers stranded at low-cost terminal
  • 13 pilots falling ill not bad luck
  • mass show of displeasure to management
  • pilots unhappy working conditions, hectic flight schedules, salary
  • People are just fed up of working here
  • called in sick to prove a point
  • 13 guys sick and company at its knees
  • a lot have left company, now short of pilots
  • unhappy with way they treat pilots and crew. overworked. no flexibility
  • guys super tired, have to work or salaries will not be high
  • Fatigue wise, not done a thing, (pilots) flying like crazy
My comments :

Air Asia already reported losses in its 3rd quarter (ended September 2015) as follows :
  • net loss of RM405.72 million
  • foreign exchange losses RM435.98 million
That was until September 30, 2015.  Market talk is the Forex losses have climbed up further to RM700 million (for the whole of 2015).

That is a lot of Forex losses. Ini bukan salah Air Asia folks. It is the Ringgit crashing.

Their earnings are mostly in Ringgit but they buy fuel in US$. Ringgit / Dollar is now 4.20.  If the Ringgit / US$ hits 5.00 or even 4.50,  Air Asia may have to stop flying.

So how man Tony?

Here is the solution bro : Ye shall turn towards mankind in kindness and call towards your Lord with compassionate wisdom.

More customer service,  more duty of care to the staff will do the trick.

By the way we recently found out that MAS is cheaper than AA on  KLIA / Kota Kinabalu. We got Sabahan in the family now.
