Police have raised the security alert to the highest level
"The threats are there and we are very well aware of this, so we are on standby for any possible event," he was quoted
My comments : Earliest reports said that a knife was found on the guy.
Other reports (attributed to Ayub Khan) said Police raided the guy's house and seized a knife from the house.
So that means the guy was not armed with a knife at the time of his arrest.
Now Khalid says the guy was just about to blow himself up in KL.
"just hours before his planned suicide attack at an entertainment outlet"
If so where are the bombs?
The bombs were either on the guy, in his house or stashed away somewhere.
Since the IGP says that the man was about to blow himself up, there must have been a bomb.
So where are the bombs?
We know the Police have NOT found any bombs yet because otherwise they would have surely announced it.
If the Police have not found the bombs yet, it means the bombs are still stashed away somewhere around KL?
That is a very dangerous situation. Can the IGP clarify this matter?
The IGP also said that the 'highest alert level' will be maintained for as long as it takes. That could be a very long time.
Tour operators, foreign investors, international businessmen, international conference organisers etc are all reading the news.
If the Police maintain a 'highest alert level' for a long time it will affect their plans to do business in Malaysia.
I can imagine all the foreign embassies advising their home countries 'A highest alert level has been declared in Malaysia.'
I hope the Police can complete their investigations, find those missing bombs with which the guy was going to blow himself up and uplift this 'highest alert level' as soon as possible.
If the "highest alert level" simply continues, that could have serious negative impact on the Malaysian economy.
By the way 'Jebat Must Die' is asking what happened to all that RM2.6 Billion that was donated to help us fight ISIS?
