Former minister Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz today asked if anything serious was being done to solve the "two big issues that are the cause of the Malaysian political and national haze".
Writing on her Facebook page today, the former international trade and industry minister said it was very worrying that there was uncertainty all around.
Although she did not specify what the "two big issues" were, it could be inferred that Rafidah was referring to the investigations on SRC International Sdn Bhd and the RM2.6 billion political donation –  two major issues that remain topics of discussion in the country.
"People seem to be playing the same old eardrum – piercing horror tunes and dramas!
"Every day we hope things can become clearer and that we can be nearer the truth and to resolution," she said.
Rafidah added that now was the time to prove that the integral part of the system was indeed working in order to recover lost faith and trust.
“Only then can we can recover whatever lost faith and trust... and build once more a strong measure of confidence in the system, and in all those who are entrusted with the trust to keep the system working well, as expected by all of us,” she said.
Yesterday, AGC returned the investigation papers into former 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) subsidiary SRC International and the RM2.6 billion donation to MACC, seeking more information.
MACC submitted the papers to AGC on December 31 last year.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali said in a statement that he wanted additional information on the suggestions and recommendations MACC had made on the two cases.
His statement came hours after news portal Asia Sentinel reported that whistleblower site Sarawak Report claimed the papers contained at least 37 separate charges against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
But MACC denied the Sarawak Report article that the investigation papers contained such number of charges against Najib and would respond to AGC soon.
