Malaysia shuts its doors to foreign workers
Just a day after signing an MoU with Dhaka, Malaysia backtracked on its words
decided to suspend recruitment of all foreign workers, including from Bangladesh.

Bangla authorities yet to receive any official statement from Malaysia in this regard.
Terming the move an eyewash, Begum Shamsun Nahar, the acting secretary of Bangladesh Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry, told the Dhaka Tribune: “The Malaysian government has made the announcement to calm local pressure groups who are opposed to recruiting foreign workers.” She said she believes that Bangladesh would send workers to Malaysia as per the deal signed between the two countries on Thursday.

You just signed a treaty in Bangladesh to import 1.5 million workers.

Just 48 hours ago Zahid was defending his decision to import 1.5 million Banglas, saying the country needed all the 1.5 million workers.
Now overnite he says the country does not need any foreign workers at all. Fuiyyo.
And that Riot guy is another riot. If you say not all the 1.5 million Banglas are coming to Malaysia, then why the hell did you sign an MOU with the Bangla government for 1.5 million workers?

I think Zahid's decision to ban the import of all foreign workers was done to spite the critics of his 1.5 million Bangla workers plan whereby his brother's company was one of the importing agencies. We know this because this is what you told the media. Awak sendiri yang cakap. Bukan orang lain yang tuduh pun.
RM3000 satu kepala x 1.5 million Banglas = RM4.5 Billion !! Semua orang ada calculator. Semua orang tahu kira lah brader.
We really need foreign workers. Just let the factories and plantations hire their own workers. Let the market decide. Let the factories and plantations sort out what are their needs.
Why should there be middle men making buta money from foreign worker permits?
We have a few million foreign workers here already. What we do not need is unthinking and really stupid policy making to bring in 1.5 million, 500,000 or 2 million extra foreign workers wholesale, without asking the factories and plantations what they really need.
Just leave the factories and plantations alone to hire their own workers. They are the best people to know what they want.
Unfreeze the ban on all foreign workers immediately.
