A car was recorded speeding against traffic on a two lane highway almost causing a collision between the driver of the car with a dashboard camera that was recording the footage, and a BMW it was overtaking.
This was according to a footage that was spread on social media since two days ago.
The footage showed the first car moving in the fast lane as it overtook the BMW when suddenly a car came speeding from the opposite direction on the same right lane.
The car itself showed signs of having been involved in a crash or accident with another vehicle, while several moments later a traffic policemen could be seen speeding also against traffic in the emergency lane, probably giving chase to the rogue vehicle.
According to automotive expert Paul Tan in a posting on his automotive news blog, Paultan.org, the car was a Peugeot 208 and the incident took place along the Grand Saga Highway.
The video was first posted by Facebook user Chuah Cheah Soon on March 8.
No details were provided except for "happened at Taiping highway".
As at press time, the video has garnered 66,711 views and 25 comments, and has been shared 871 times.
This is the latest incident involving drivers who drive the wrong way, with several cases reported before. -Mkini
