Tengku Adnan proposes title of FT heads be standardised

Labuan Corporation and Putrajaya Corporation chiefs to have the same title as Kuala Lumpur’s mayor.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Territories (FT) ministry plans to standardise the title of “mayor” for the heads of Labuan Corporation (PL) and Putrajaya Corporation (PPj).

FT Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the proposal would be studied first as it involved amendments to legislation involving PPj and PL.

He said this after attending the ministry’s Excellence Award Ceremony 2016 here, where he presented awards to 916 employees of the ministry.

He said the head of the local authority for Putrajaya (PPj) was currently called “president” and the PL head was “chief executive officer”. -FMT
