Diplomatic row forces AFC to postpone Malaysia-N Korea match

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has postponed the match between Malaysia and North Korea over the current diplomatic row between the two nations.
The Asia Cup 2019 qualification match was supposed to take place at Stadium Kim Il-sung in Pyongyang on March 28.
AFC, however, did not provide a new date for the match.
“The AFC committee decided to postpone the match in view of the diplomatic tension between Malaysia and North Korea.
“A new date for the match would be announced soon,” said the confederation in a statement.
Ties between the two nations became strained following the murder of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's estranged half brother Kim Jong-nam at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 2) on Feb 13.
North Korea had accused Malaysia of fabricating evidence and colluding with outside forces, allegations which led to the expulsion of its ambassador.
On Tuesday, Pyongyang imposed a travel ban on Malaysians in North Korea, leading Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to order a similar restriction on North Koreans in Malaysia.

Two of the 11 Malaysians stranded returned last night. Both work for the United Nations' World Food Programme (WFP).
Two women, a Vietnamese and Indonesian national, have been charged with killing Jong-nam by smearing VX nerve agent on the deceased's face while he waited to board a flight to Macau.
Four others have been accused of the crime but remain at large.
Police believe three of the suspects are in the North Korean embassy in Malaysia- Mkini
