No home in Johor, MB registered voting address of local Umno office

Johor menteri besar Khaled Nordin said he registered his voting address using the Pasir Gudang Umno headquarters, which doubled up as his constituency service centre, because he didn't have a private home in the state.
Responding to Tan Hong Pin (DAP-Mengkibol)'s query on whether his relatives registered the same address as their voting address, Khaled denied any wrongdoing.
“I don't have a house in Johor, thus I use my service centre address. What is the problem for me to register there?” he told the Johor state assembly during question-and-answer session.
The Permas assemblyperson reiterated his family and siblings utilised the Pasir Gudang Umno headquarters as their voting address to show support.
“They are not phantom voters.”
Khaled struck back against Tan, saying the DAP state assemblyperson should complain to the Election Commission.
“If you think it's not right, please lodge a protest. But no one was protesting, why don't you protest? You should not only talk on the internet.”
Later, when queried on why his siblings used the Pasir Gudang Umno headquarters as their voting address, Khaled responded: “What's wrong (with my siblings) supporting me?”
On Feb 22, Tan lodged a police report over Khaled and 13 others changing their voting address to a shoplot in Masai, Johor after combing through the electoral roll for the fourth quarter 2016, that was on display.
The address in question is the Pasir Gudang Umno division headquarters at 1, Jalan Tembusu Taman Rinting.
The electoral roll for third quarter 2016 recorded Khaled and his son Akmal Saufi's change of voter address to the above location.

The electoral roll for the subsequent quarter recorded that 12 more people had been added to the same address.
Khaled has confirmed that he had his voting registration changed to the Pasir Gudang Umno division headquarters, a move he defended as legitimate.
While electoral reforms pressure group Bersih have accused him of likely breaching National Registration Department (NRD) rules by using his service centre address as his MyKad address.- Mkini
