KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB GROUP HOLDINGS BHD confirmed that one of its employees, based at CIMB’s call centre in Menara Southern Bank (MSB), was tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
The banking group said on Monday the staff was being treated at a government hospital. Contact tracing is being conducted, with all those in direct contact with the affected employee placed under home quarantine, until given the appropriate medical clearance.
The call centre, based at MSB, has been closed for a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning.
“Whilst all our other call centres are still operational, the temporary closure of MSB will impact the number of calls we are able to attend to this morning.
“We seek the understanding of all customers as we work hard to get the call centre up and running again, ” it said.
CIMB requested its customers go to www.cimb.com.my/covid19support, its dedicated Covid19 page, where it has a comprehensive set of FAQs for Covid-19 financial relief packages.
CIMB said the banking group has business continuity plans in place for both head office and branches to ensure continuation of essential services. -Star
