PETALING JAYA: The Kota Kinabalu Police Training Centre (Pulapol) in Sabah and two zones in Kuala Kedah, Kedah, will be placed under lockdown from Sept 6-19.
In a statement, National Security Council director-general Rodzi Md Saad also said the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) at the Tapah prison in Batang Padang, Perak, and the warders’ quarters, will be extended from Sept 6 to Sept 19.
He also said the EMCO at 17 areas in Sabah will be lifted tomorrow.
The areas are Kota Kinabalu – Kampung Padas, Kampung Cenderamata 2, Kampung Cempaka, Kampung Inanam Laut, Kampung Bambangan, Kampung Kelingau, Kampung Lapasan and Taman Kuala Menggatal; Tawau – Taman Semarak Indah, Taman Thien Vun, Taman Victoria, Taman King Fook and Kampung Kurnia Batu 4; Kudat – Kampung Tanjung Kapor; Beluran – Kampung Sulit Paitan and Kampung Matanggal Lama; and Sandakan – Taman Mesra People’s Housing Project.
In Pahang, the lockdowns in Kampung Telemin in Lipis, and Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Bot in Bentong, will also draw to an end tomorrow.
Other localities which will see lockdowns lifted tomorrow include the Pokok Sena prison in Kota Setar, Kedah, and the warders’ quarters, as well as Sungai Pinang Kecil platform in Pulau Pangkor, Perak.
The EMCO will also end tomorrow in three areas in Tumpat, Kelantan; Kampung Telaga Bata, Kampung Kajang Sebidang and Kampung Bunut Sarang Burung. - FMT
