PETALING JAYA: PLUS has closed a part of the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas) at the Shah Alam toll plaza and interchange due to floods, the highway operator said.
The entry lane into the highway, at Bukit Raja and the Setia Alam ramp to Shah Alam, have been closed while mandatory exits have been activated at the Subang and Seafield toll plazas for southbound and northbound traffic, PLUS said in a statement issued today.
It added that highway users who are cut off between Setia Alam and Shah Alam, and Subang towards Shah Alam/Elite highway, are required to make an emergency U-turn via a temporary access provided by PLUS.
“We regret the inconvenience caused by this flooding due to the continuous heavy rain over the last 24 hours,” said PLUS Malaysia Berhad chief operating officer Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi.
“Rest assured, PLUS personnel are on the ground working to manage the situation and are assisting with the traffic flow.”
