COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 8,112 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative infections to 4,325,818.
Active cases stood at 145,799, down 33.9 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Over the past week, an average of 27.6 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 55, indicating that such deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,292 deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus.
There have been 309 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 2235 deaths last month and 770 deaths in February.
The state with the highest death was Sarawak (5) followed by Perak (2), Johor (1), Kedah (1), Kelantan (1), Selangor (1), and Kuala Lumpur (1).
There are 2,811 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 174 are in intensive care.
