A lorry driver was injured and pinned inside his vehicle after it crashed into a container that fell from a flyover in Port Klang this afternoon.
According to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, the incident that took place around 1pm, happened when the victim was driving his lorry, which was carrying rubber gloves, at Jalan Pelabuhan Klang.
"It was reported that a container fell from the flyover and landed on a road about 12 metres below, blocking the passage.
"Another trailer truck carrying rubber gloves could not evade the container in time and crashed into it, causing the driver to be pinned inside the truck.
"The incident also involved another lorry, which was hit on the rear by the falling container," said a fire department spokesperson.
He told reporters that the department dispatched six rescuers from Kota Raja fire station to the scene upon receiving a call at 1.17pm.
