KUALA LUMPUR: Over 8,000 PKR members have submitted their candidacy for branch level posts in the party elections next month.
PKR election committee chief Zaliha Mustafa said the online nomination process using a phone app had gone smoothly since Friday despite a few technical difficulties.
“Members were unfamiliar with the app. So to speed up the nomination process, PKR opened physical nomination centres in each state to assist members,” she said.
Nominations for branch positions will close at midnight tonight.
Terengganu state PKR secretary Wan Bukhari Wan Muhammad said many members praised the new method using the ADIL app as it was easier, transparent and could be done anywhere at any time.
Perlis PKR women’s chief Gan Ay Ling said: “The method used this time makes it easy for everyone and the objection process can also be made online after this. Previously, many people would get confused about the objection process resulting in all sorts of problems.” - FMT
