An ongoing legal dispute between companies over MySejahtera has nothing to do with the Health Ministry, said Khairy Jamaluddin.
The Health Minister stressed that as far as the Health Ministry is concerned, the government owns all data stored in the MySejahtera database, its modules and the brand.
"The reason why I made it a point to appear before the Dewan Negara and Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) when they summoned me (to explain on MySejahtera issues) was that I want to tell the rakyat that I have nothing to hide.
"This application is important, we are using it for Covid-19, vaccination, virtual Covid-19 Assessment Centre and so on. Please accept the fact that we are still using the MySejahtera system.
"You may have some concerns about my explanation. What I explained in Dewan Negara and the PAC is the truth - that the data is owned by the Health Ministry, it is kept in a server in Malaysia which is owned by the Health Ministry,” he said at a press conference during an official visit to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak earlier today.
Khairy was responding to a question about an ongoing dispute at the Kuala Lumpur High Court between P2 Asset Management Sdn Bhd and three others (Entomo Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Revolusi Asia Sdn Bhd and MYSJ Sdn Bhd) pertaining to a dispute over the share sale agreement.
Entomo was formerly known as KPISoft Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and was responsible for using its software to develop the MySejahtera application.
According to a Bernama report, P2 Asset Management is suing Entomo, Revolusi Asia and MYSJ over 10 percent equity shares in Revolusi Asia, which holds 100 percent ownership of MYSJ. - Mkini
