PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad has rubbished the contents of a "leaked document" attributed to the party.
He said the party has never discussed matters as contained in the document.
"I am the number three in PAS, the top vice-president... during the meeting, we never discussed these things," he said at a press conference in Putrajaya today.
The "leaked document" is a purported summary of meetings between PAS vice-president Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan with the other political figures from Bersatu, Pejuang, and Umno between March 24 and April 7.
Based on the document, Umno was heavily discussed during these meetings, including criminal trials faced by its leaders, the possible fate of Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Umno's decision to delay an internal leadership election, among others.
Samsuri, one of the two leaders involved, admitted to the meeting but described the leaked document as "rubbish".
Idris concurred with Samsuri's assessment.
He said the so-called leak was just meant to call attention to news that no one would read.
Idris added it also sought to divide Malay parties in Muafakat Nasional and Perikatan Nasional.
Earlier, Ismail Sabri said he was unsure if the document was real or fake. - Mkini
