Old EPF building catches fire again

 

Videos of the six-storey building next to the Federal Highway catching fire started being circulated on social media half an hour ago.

PETALING JAYA: The old Employees Provident Fund (EPF) building located at Jalan Gasing here has caught fire.

Videos of flames and thick smoke emerging from the six-storey building next to the Federal Highway began circu;lating on social media at about 10.45am.

The fire and rescue department has confirmed the fire.

The building had been left vacant since a February 2018 fire. No casualties or injuries were reported then.

The 63-year-old office building was scheduled to reopen in late 2024 as a state-of-the-art senior living facility.
