RUMOURS REFUSE TO GO AWAY

 

The new Parliamentary session has started on Monday 21st May, 2023. It goes on until 15th June. Over in Sarawak and Sabah the weeklong Gawai Festival falls on June 1st. Its a two day public holiday but the celebrations will go on for a week or longer.

Talk is the Sarawak and Sabah MPs are not too happy that Parliament was scheduled during the Gawai Festival. It is possible that some of the Sarawak and Sabah MPs may return to their States for the Gawai and will give Parliament a miss for a few days. 

So the headcount of MPs in Parliament, especially the GPS MPs from Sarawak and also those from Sabah will be kurang over the Gawai. That may present threats for some as well as opportunities for others.

Again the rumours are swirling that there will be some rotation and re-alignment of bald tyres before the polls in those SIX states - which are coming up real fast. The rumours say that there may not even be those State polls.

Ong Kian Ming's recent public expression of love to the iceman to join the DAP and be their candidate for PM let the cat out of the bag that even the DAP has no faith in the X man. That was not a tactically clever statement YB Ong. Or maybe it was.

The outreach to the PAS by the PH is also sending really confused signals. Do bear in mind, if PAS joins the PH stable the DAP becomes disposable. Or really watered down. DAP's influence may just disappear.

A very important component in this whole equation is missing - ME. What is there for me, the ordinary rakyat and voter? While you are all dividing up the spoils between yourselves what happens to the ordinary people on the street?

I think I am going to vote you out. That is what I am going to do.

And I think all the voters should just kick all of you out. It does not make any difference who is the MP or who is in power. There is no improvement or positive outcome for the people. Everything is the same or worse than before.

So you can renew your driving license for 10 years. But how many people can afford to pay license fees for 10 years upfront? It looks like the 'improvement' in the system requires the people to spend more money upfront.

Err..can you do something that saves the people money? Can you abolish the tolls? Or reduce them drastically?

Can you please drastically reduce the import duties, taxes, levies, import taxes and abolish the useless APs for the import of all motor vehicles? So that our car prices will reduce substantially to match the world market prices?

This is my final warning. You do this the people may vote for you - all the people.

You do all sorts of other really stupid things - you will be kicked out. Dont say I did not warn you.
