PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has proposed providing incentives to agencies that surpass their revenue targets.
Speaking to enforcement agencies here, he suggested that these incentives could come in the form of equipment, facilities, and other necessities required for carrying out tasks more effectively.
Separately, Anwar also said that RM100 million would be distributed among all enforcement agencies this year to strengthen their capabilities and operations.
“God willing, the government will continue to allocate special provisions next year after taking into account the additional revenue collected by enforcement agencies,” he said at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
Anwar also said the government would look into improving career paths for civil servants working in enforcement agencies.
He added that an annual allocation of RM5.5 million had been set aside for increased uniform allowances for the army, police, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), prisons department, Malaysian quarantine and inspection services department, as well as the domestic trade and cost of living ministry. - FMT
