Watching his words won't affect Sanusi's gung-ho image, says KJ

Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor should be more mindful of his comments, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

"I would like to personally tell Sanusi that he should have more propriety and this will not lead to him losing his 'gung-ho' image," the former Umno Youth chief said.

Speaking during an episode of the "Keluar Sekejap" podcast, Khairy said that Muhammad Sanusi's comments did appear to be uncouth despite his claims that it was spun by the media.

Former Umno information chief Shahril Hamdan, who also spoke in the podcast, said he felt Muhammad Sanusi was "careless" with his comments about royalty and did not realise that it could hit a nerve.

"He was venting at the Selangor MB but ended up implicating the Selangor Sultan," he said.

Police have initiated an investigation on Muhammad Sanusi under the Sedition Act for issues linked to religion, race and royalty (3R).

Almost 60 police reports were lodged against the Kedah MB.

Sanusi sent a letter of apology to the Selangor Sultan on Friday (July 14), saying that he regretted the statement made. - Star
