PETALING JAYA: Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, the six-year-old who was found dead last night, was likely killed at a different site, Bukit Aman criminal investigation department (CID) director Shuhaily Zain said.
“He was not killed where the body was found . He was killed elsewhere and his body dumped near the river,” he told reporters here.
Zayn’s body was discovered near a river, just 100m from his apartment in Damansara Damai here.
He was reported missing on Tuesday.
Shuhaily also said that the suspect believed to be involved in the murder was familiar with the area where Zayn’s body was dumped.
“The site is rarely used as a passageway.”
