Lee narrowly lost the contest for the Petaling Jaya division chief to Selangor executive councillor Hee Loy Sian, winning 2,684 votes to Hee’s 2,900.
In a Facebook post, Lee said he had received numerous calls and messages questioning the transparency of the polling process and confirmed that his team would be submitting an official appeal to the party’s election committee.
“PKR has a fair appeal system and we hope to clear any doubts and ensure that the rights of all party members are upheld fairly and justly through this system,” he said.
In Selayang, Chua lost to Kamarudin Hussain, who secured 2,041 votes to Chua’s 1,648.
In a Facebook post, Chua said he hoped his appeal would be considered in a fair and transparent manner.
PKR is allowing formal appeals until Wednesday, with a RM100 fee for each appeal submission.
