Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has rebuked claims that PKR’s election process was associated with Umno’s culture.
“When you're full of ‘shit’ (penuh tahi) yourself, but you pretend to be good and blame other people's parties,” he said on Facebook.
Akmal was livid over a Malaysiakini report which quoted former Batu PKR branch secretary Yuslaini Azmi reminding the party not to emulate Umno's culture.
However, the Umno Youth chief argued that corruption is not about the parties but rather the individuals.
“If you're shit (tahi), no matter where you go, you'll still be shit; you can't become a gem. So bring a mirror - reflect on yourself first before accusing other parties,” he added.

Yuslaini had made the call following a viral video featuring Fatin Izzaty Muhammad, who is contesting for the Batu PKR Youth chief post, purportedly soliciting votes in exchange for cash.
In the edited video, Fatin can be heard stating that the Batu PKR chief P Prabakaran - whom she supports - will be distributing money to his supporters.
"YB (Prabakaran) will give RM100 duit raya in the final week before... voting, he will gather all of us to break fast with him the week before Raya, then when it's time to vote, YB will give RM100.
"If we win, there will be a jackpot, don't worry," she allegedly said.

However, Fatin claimed that she is a victim of a smear campaign.
"These were youths in my area that I always helped, giving them money for fuel, to top-up their phone (credit), I always help them.
"I'm shocked that the video was spread. I prayed, sought mercy from God. I know who recorded it and I did not expect this was the purpose. I am disappointed that this is how those I help repay me,” she said. - Mkini
