Pak Lah to be laid to rest in Warriors’ Mausoleum

Khairy Jamaluddin said Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s remains will be brought to the National Mosque tomorrow morning.

PETALING JAYA
Malaysia’s fifth prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who died this evening at the age of 85, will be laid to rest in the Warriors’ Mausoleum tomorrow afternoon.

In a press conference this evening, his son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin said Abdullah’s remains will be brought to the National Mosque tomorrow morning.

“From 11am to 1pm, Tun Abdullah’s remains will be placed in the first musollah hall of the National Mosque to allow members of the public to pay their final respects.

“After zohor prayers, funeral prayers will be held for Pak Lah. After that, he will be laid to rest in the Warriors’ Mausoleum of the National Mosque,” he said.

Khairy thanked Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for confirming and consenting to Abdullah’s burial in the mausoleum. - FMT
