DAP's report is incomplete, says ROS
The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has claimed that DAP has failed to submit complete annual report as required by Section 14(1) of the Societies Act 1966 to enable the department to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the party’s electoral blunder.
ROS director-general Abdul Rahman Othman told Utusan Malaysiathat the documents submitted by DAP on Feb 8 did not explain the error which occurred during the vote-counting process of the party election.
“DAP only submitted annual statement and the results of the central executive committee election. But what we want is information about the electoral result, how it was carried out, how the error happened and where was the election held. All were not there.
“Before this, we have informed them the list of documents required according to the conditions under the Societies Act. As long as the information is incomplete, the investigation cannot be conducted comprehensively,” he was quoted as saying.
Last month, Abdul Rahman had apologised for making a wrong allegation that DAP had not submitted its annual report before the deadline.
