KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 — The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Dr Madinah Mohamad has been appointed as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education effective Monday.
Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Prof Datuk Dr Zaini Ujang has been appointed as Secretary-General II of the same ministry, also from Monday, said Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN), Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa in a statement today.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Datuk Dr Rosli Mohamed will take over Dr Madinah’s old post, also from the same date.
Dr Madinah, 56, who holds a PhD and Masters in Human Resource Management from University Putra Malaysia has been in the civil service for over 32 years.
Dr Rosli, 55, who holds a PhD in strategic marketing from University of Hull, United Kingdom and a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Leeds, United Kingdom, has served the civil service for more than 30 years.
Dr Zaini, 48, who served over 23 years in higher learning holds a PhD and Masters in environmental engineering from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. – Bernama
