TELUK INTAN MIC has cautioned Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi against repeating his "ingrates" remark to the Indian voters in Teluk Intan.
Party deputy president Dr S Subramaniam (left) said such statements can jeopardise BN's chances in the May 31 by-election.
Calling it an advice to BN parties, he added that politicians, in an overzealous attempt to win votes, should be careful not to trample on sensitivities of other races.
Subramaniam, who is also health minister, felt that Zahid had erred in terming the Chinese who vote for DAP as ingrates during a ceramah at a Malay village in Teluk Intan yesterday.
"This is the kind of issue we should try to avoid as much as possible," he said.
"We have to maintain the balancing act," he said, adding they should choose a more inclusive approach which accepted by all.
