The deputy home minister said this today in reference to the Christian books and CDs belonging to pastor Maklin Masiau, who had purchased them in Indonesia and was in transit in klia2 last Saturday, on his way back to Sabah.
Wan Junaidi's comments at an event in Kuching, Sarawak, comes in the wake of Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi blaming the Customs department for the seizing of the books and CDs, earlier today.
“Once the process of clearing and all is done, the bibles or whatever documents they are, will be returned to the rightful owner,” Bernama quoted Wan Junaidi as saying.
According to Bernama, he said the order to return the Christian books and CDs was because it was governed by a Cabinet decision, as far as Sabah and Sarawak were concerned.
The Cabinet ministers had unanimously pledged their support for the 10-point agreement on the use of "Allah" by Christians in Sabah and Sarawak be it in their literature, CDs as well as during worship.
