MACC escorts 'datuk' to magistrate's court for remand hearing
PUTRAJAYA: A fourth company director has been arrested in the continuing investigations into financial scandals related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officers escorted the man to the magistrate’s court here this morning for a hearing into an application to hold him in remand, media reports said.
The executive, who has a datukship, would be the fourth held in remand this week.
Two other director sought by MACC are believed to have gone overseas, while Bank Negara has issued wanted posters on two people in connection with the affairs of a company related to 1MDB.
Controversial Penang-born businessman Jho Low, now based in Hong Kong, has also been summoned to appear before parliament’s watchdog, the Public Accounts Committee, in September.
